With over three decades of experience in burn and wound care, Beretta Craft-Coffman, PA-C, brings a deep well of clinical expertise, surgical knowledge, and compassionate patient care to our team. A nationally certified Physician Assistant, she has devoted her career to advancing treatment for patients with complex wounds and burn injuries.
Beretta began her medical journey at the Medical College of Georgia, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 1992. She later earned her Master of Science from Touro College and completed executive education in Healthcare Management at the Yale School of Management. She maintains a NAWCO accredited Wound Care Certification. Her career has been rooted in clinical excellence and leadership, serving as Vice President of Non-Physician Providers at Joseph M. Still Burn Centers, Inc., where she worked from 1992 until 2025.
Through ABLS, Beretta has educated countless medical professionals in lifesaving burn care. She has authored more than 15 peer-reviewed publications and delivered over 50 national and international presentations on topics ranging from advanced grafting techniques to the management of burns in pregnant patients.
Beretta’s leadership and innovation have helped shape modern approaches to wound healing, particularly in the use of cultured epithelial autografts, amniotic membranes, and novel dressing technologies. Her passion for education is also reflected in her role as a preceptor for multiple physician assistant programs across the country.
The Burn Foundation of America awarded Beretta the Healthcare Hero Award in 2011 and she was recognized by the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants with the 2022 Distinguished Service Award.
Her commitment to patient advocacy, clinical research, and mentoring the next generation of providers makes her an invaluable asset to our wound care team—and to every patient she serves.
